Muslims Welcome Ram Navami Procession with Petals and Water in Jaipur’s Hasanpura

On March 26, 2026, Muslim residents of Jaipur’s Hasanpura locality turned out in large numbers to greet a grand Ram Navami Shobha Yatra — showering rose and marigold petals, distributing chilled water bottles, and even joining chants of “Jai Shri Ram” — creating a powerful street-level display of mutual respect and shared celebration.

As the colourful Ram Navami procession wound through the streets of Jaipur, it reached the Muslim-dominated Hasanpura area. Instead of tension, what unfolded was warmth and welcome. Local Muslim families stood along the route with baskets of fresh flowers. As the chariot carrying Lord Ram’s idol approached, they released showers of petals while volunteers handed out water to the marching devotees. Some even raised chants of “Jai Shri Ram” alongside the procession, turning the moment into a spontaneous celebration of togetherness.

Residents later explained that this has become an annual tradition — just as Hindus greet them during Eid. One young Muslim participant said simply, “We live together, we celebrate together.” The act received wide appreciation online and in local reports as a living example of everyday harmony in Rajasthan’s capital.
